Booking Instructions
- Room Type – Determine which type of room you would like. The room types are listed below.
- Number of People – Determine how many people will stay in the room that is being booked. Room prices are normally quoted based on double occupancy. A third and fourth person can be added at a discounted rate.
- Rate – Which rate is right for you? Do you want to place a $100 per person refundable deposit on a room in exchange for more flexibility, or would you rather put down a smaller, non-refundable deposit?
- Passenger Information – For each passenger in the room, please gather:
- VIFP Number (if known) – This is also sometimes called a past passenger number
- Gender
- Full legal name
- Date of birth
- US citizen?
- State of residency
- Email address
- Phone number
- Contact Alex Agle to book your room. I will gather the above information from you, put your room on hold, and email you a reservation confirmation. Feel free to give me a call at 404-967-8370 if you have any questions.
- Pay Deposit – Once everything looks good, it is time to pay the room deposit, which reserves the room for you. I will email a form to collect your credit card information. Once received, I will charge the initial deposit to your credit card and email you an updated confirmation. All credit card charges are made directly by Carnival.
- Future Payments – After your deposit is paid, your credit card will be on file with Carnival. You can email, text, or call me if you want to make any additional payments. It is not necessary to provide me with your credit card information again, unless you want to use a different card. It’s also possible to have Carnival charge equal installments to your credit card automatically.
- Final Payment – For this sailing, any remaining balance is due by September 1st, 2025, which is approximately 90 days prior to the cruise. I will contact everyone approximately 20 days prior to this date to make final payment arrangements. When paying the deposit, it is also possible to have Carnival to automatically charge the card on file when the final payment is due.
- Online Check-In Reminder – I will remind everyone when it is time to check in for the cruise. The check-in window opens 14 days before the sail date (16 days for platinum and diamond members).
- Airfare and Hotels – My specialty is Carnival cruises. I generally don’t book airfare or hotels for clients, but I can certainly make recommendations if requested. In case of any flight delays, it is a good idea to arrive in Port Canaveral no later than the day before the cruise. Port Canaveral is about 45-60 minutes from the Orlando airport. If scheduling a flight back to Atlanta, the best practice is to book a flight that departs at 12PM or later.
- Carnival Vacation Protection – For approximately $49 – $79 per person, you can add vacation protection to your cruise. You can click here to read about the benefits provided. This price is reduced for the third and fourth person in a room.
- Allianz Insurance – If you are interested in more comprehensive travel insurance, feel free to ask me for a no obligation quote. One policy can usually cover all members of a family traveling together. This is generally better coverage than what Carnival offers, however, the price can be a little higher too. Your quote will be emailed to you. If you choose to purchase the policy, you can do so directly from the link in the email.
Room types
Interior (4A – 4J) – Approximately 185 square feet. Two twin beds can convert to a king bed. For a three or four person room, the additional beds usually come down from the ceiling. Each room has a bathroom with toilet, shower, and sink.
Ocean View (6A, 6B, 6C) – Approximately 220 square feet. Two twin beds can convert to a king bed. For a three person room, the third bed is a single bed converted from a couch. For a four person room, the fourth bed usually comes down from the ceiling.
Balcony (8A – 8F) – Approximately 185 square feet with 35 square foot balcony. These balcony rooms are on higher decks of the ship. Two twins convert to a king, third bed is a single bed converted from a couch, and fourth bed pulls down from ceiling.
Specialty Extended Balcony (8M) – Approximately 185 square feet with up to 60 square foot balcony. Aft facing balcony (8M). These balcony rooms are on higher decks of the ship at the very front or back. Two twins convert to a king, third bed is a single bed converted from a couch, and fourth bed pulls down from ceiling.
Premium Balcony (9B, 9C) – These balconies are typically near the rear corner of the ship and offer more balcony space. The interior of the room sometimes offers more premium features that you might find in a suite, such as upgraded countertops.
Rate Information
The rule of thumb is that I can book your cruise for the same rate that you can find on Carnival’s website, or for less if the group rate is a better value. There are three general rates:
- Special Offers – Past Carnival guests may have special offers, where there are discounted room rates and $100 or more in onboard credit is provided. As each guest is booked, I will double check for any special offers. Rooms booked under special offers do not count towards the group.
- Early Saver Rates – These rates usually have a reduced deposit from the usual $100 per person for a three day cruise. A $50 per person fee applies to any cancellations or rebookings. Sometimes this rate will offer some onboard credit. In the event that the price of the cruise falls, then you can get the lower pricing. Quoted prices could fluctuate slightly until the cruise is booked. Rooms booked under this rate count towards the group benefits. See pricing details below.
- Group Rates – Deposit is $100 per person, and it is fully refundable before September 14th, 2025. These quoted group rates expire March 1st, 2025. These rates count towards the group benefits. Initially, group rates are usually the same price or slightly higher than the Early Saver rates. Over time, the group rate remains the same while the Early Saver rate tend to increase.
Once we have five rooms booked into the group, then each room receives an extra $25 onboard credit as a group benefit ($12.50 per person for first two people).
Pricing – As of 4/01/2025
All pricing includes taxes and fees, but excludes gratuities and insurance.

There are discounts for current and former members of the military, current and former commercial airline pilots, and some delivery workers (UPS, FedEx, DHL). I have also seen recent discounts for Canadian residents. In the past, there have been discounts for senior citizens and residents of certain states, but I have not see those discounts recently. People often ask if there is a discount for children. Children generally pay full price, although the third and fourth person in a room pay discounted prices. Infants under age 2 are not charged gratuities.
Other types of rooms are also available, depending on your desires. Suites begin at $909 per person.
Documentation Requirements
This cruise is considered a closed-loop cruise, because it starts and ends at the same USA-based port. A passport is not required for this closed-loop cruise, although it is recommended. Passengers with a passport will be able to debark the ship slightly faster at the end of the cruise. Most passengers bring the following identification documents:
- US Passport or
- State issued drivers license or identification card AND State or county issued birth certificate (photocopy acceptable)
- As of May 2025, all drivers licenses need to be Real ID compliant. Georgia has been compliant since July 1st, 2012. Please make sure that your ID has a star in the upper right corner.
For more information, please review the documentation requirements for US citizens.
